Acclaimed finger-style guitar virtuoso Thomas Radcliffe currently is touring as a solo singer-songwriter and will kick off the Old Mill Playhouse Summer Concert Series 2014 at 7 p.m. Saturday. Radcliffe’s list of accomplishments range from violin, flute, and choir singing to composing and conducting. His menagerie of stringed instruments includes the 12-string Spanish laud, the 10-string Puerto Rican cuatro, and a host of guitars in alternate tuning.
The Old Mill Playhouse Summer Concert Series 2014 kicks of Saturday with Radcliffe as the guest performing artist as well as local artist Cody Taylor, who will be exhibiting his paintings. Tickets are on sale now at the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce and Coyote Howling Gift Shop for a Cause. The concert starts at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. There is additional parking available at Radio Shack.
Thomas’ performances are intimate and personal. His passion and sensitivity exude from the strings when he plays, and his voice brings the love and message in a song directly to one’s heart. Pre-ticket sales are $20, and $25 at the door.
Thomas has arranged that 25 percent of the ticket price to go to Feed My Starving Children, if purchased at Coyote Howling, 1803 Sudderth Drive. The Old Mill Playhouse is located at 641 Sudderth Drive in the Gateway area of Ruidoso. To find out more, look for Thomas P Radcliffe on FaceBook.
